An Immigration Emancipation Map Project: ZAO (Zombie, Alien and Other)

How fiction can inform and inspire the creation of an alternative reality. ZAO (Zombie, Alien and Other) have been explored culturally, historically, legally and chemically in literature and film. 

In recent years the rise of ZAO as a contemporary cultural phenomenon might be attributed to the apocalyptic realities and speculations we have access to through global press and media. 

 

The first stage of the project is to take the literary and cultural phenomenon of the ZAO to define and engage with my personal interests in reality for future design work. 

 

The second stage of the project is to design a conceptual framework for ZAO to co-exist with human counterparts. 

 

For this project I consider not only my ZAO creation as an assimilated entity where co-existence has to be mediated by architecture and the infrastructure of design, but also the balance and negotiation ZAO rights vs Human rights.
